CEO
Katie is Kipling's CEO and the operational backbone of Kipling Recruiters, a woman-owned recruiting firm committed to helping businesses find top-tier talent with flexibility and efficiency.
Before stepping into the world of entrepreneurship, Katie spent several years as a high school English teacher in the Bay Area. Her background in education honed her skills in communication, adaptability, and leadership—skills that she has since applied to growing Kipling Recruiting into a trusted partner for companies of all sizes.
As a mom and business owner, Katie understands the importance of balancing work, life, and passion. This is why she's dedicated to making the hiring process smoother for our clients, whether they need temporary help, a full recruiting team, or guidance on building their own HR capabilities.
Matt Steiger
President & G&A Recruiting
Matt Steiger leads our G&A and Executive Recruiting practice, bringing over fifteen years of experience working with scaling companies.
During his 11 years at Sequoia-backed SaaS companies Medallia and Qualtrics, Matt played a role in scaling these organizations and navigating the IPO process.
This hands-on experience gives him a deep understanding of the challenges his clients face, allowing him to align more closely with their needs and support their hiring strategies. He also draws on valuable expertise from his time at Google and his early career as an Executive Recruiter for tech companies.
Outside of work, Matt is passionate about coaching youth sports, spending time outdoors, and being with his family. His personal adventures include running the Boston Marathon, climbing Mt. Whitney, and rafting the Royal Gorge.

Drew heads our Sales Recruiting practice, bringing firsthand experience as a former sales rep who climbed the ranks to lead high-performing sales teams. He knows exactly what to look for in top talent and is relentless in finding and closing the best candidates for our clients.
Outside of recruiting, Drew is an adventure enthusiast. Whether it’s tearing up trails on his motorcycle, rock climbing, camping under the stars, or tackling new overlanding challenges, he’s always seeking the next thrill. Drew’s passion for life translates into his work, where he thrives on making a difference in people’s careers and lives. He believes every day is an opportunity to outdo yesterday and embraces each new challenge with enthusiasm and purpose
Gordon Jackson
Engineering, Data Scientist, Product Recruiting
Gordon heads our Engineering Recruiting practice. He's the mastermind behind sourcing top talent in engineering, data science, product management, and all things tech. Gordon's got your back when it comes to building high-performing teams.
He began his career at the executive recruiting firm Heidrick & Struggles, and later became a partner at a couple of executive recruiting firms. He then recruited engineering talent for Sequoia-backed Medallia and most recently led recruitment teams at Samsung and F5. With a deep understanding of complex hiring needs, Gordon is committed to finding the perfect match for candidates and companies alike.
He holds a degree in Political Science from Carnegie Mellon and an international MBA from Pepperdine.
